Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it an attempted mass conversion [via an unholy marriage of Soviet occupation and US behind-the-scenes intervention] that lead to the inital formation of the Muj? Christ, the notion is so stupid it's almost sulphuric in its acidic ridiculousness.
Regardless, is nice to know us 'secularists' are now considered allies by (self-declared) Christians. What is this, the Evangelical 'enemy of my enemy...' principle? I thought situational ethics were anathema to Christianity. Guess there's been a post-9/11 truce declared in the Culture Wars.
